Division 3 League
Ballymachugh 1-13 Killygarry 0-7
It was a wet summer’s
evening on Friday 10th July 2009, when Ballymachugh recorded an
impressive nine point victory over Killygarry in Division Three of the All
County Football League. The game was played in a very sporting manner
throughout, and the home crowd was pleased with their side’s effort at
Sheelin Park.

Showers before the big match in Breffni Park on 25 July 2009 dampened the
field, but events during the match dampened the Ballymachugh mood.

BALLYMACHUGH CAPTURE U16 TITLE
Ballymachugh met Lacken in the Division 4 U16 final in Kingspan
Breffini park on Monday last. It was Lacken who took the lead before
Adon McFarlane got his first of a exceptional 1-7.

Ballymachugh 0-11 Corlough 1 -2
The Hughs made it three wins out of four with a comprehensive victory
over a poor Corlough team on Saturday. The Hughs dominated from start to
finish and but for some over elaboration and poor decision making in the
forwardline the margin of victory would have been much more.

Ballymachugh 0-11 Templeport 1 -7
Ballymachugh returned to winning ways when a late second half surge saw
them pip Templeport by the narrowest of margins on Sunday last.
Displaying five personnel changes and also a number of positional
switches from the previous weeks disappointing defeat to Munterconnaught
this was a much improved performance from the Hughs.

A Munterconnaught team powered by the impressive John McCabe at full
forward made the most of a whirlwind start to claim the points in
Ballyheelin on Saturday last.

Ballymachugh win 1st game ! Just
Ballymachugh gained their first win in ACFL Div 3 with a one point win
over Arva in a very competitive game in Boucher Park on Sunday last. The
game was played in very poor conditions and the standard of football
produced was a credit to both teams.

Ballynarry National School Boys team
were recently presented with fabulous sports jackets by
Kiernan Milling to mark
their success in winning the 2008 Cumann na mBunscol league.
